About Oorian
A framework born from real-world production experience, built by developers for developers.
Our Story
Oorian began in 2014, developed in tandem with iGradePlus, a comprehensive school management platform. We found ourselves frustrated with existing Java web frameworks—we wanted the productivity of modern JavaScript frameworks but with Java's type safety and our team's existing expertise.
Rather than force developers to learn templating languages or write JavaScript, we built a framework where everything is pure Java. Your page structure, event handlers, styling—all written in the language you already know. Flexible communication options—AJAX, SSE, or WebSocket—let you choose the right approach for each page.
After over a decade of production use in iGradePlus—serving thousands of educators, students, and parents—we've battle-tested every aspect of the framework. Now we're making it available to Java development teams who want the same productivity gains.
Our Mission
"Enable Java developers to build modern, interactive web applications using only the skills they already have."
Pure Java
No JavaScript, no templates. Your entire application in one language.
Flexible Communication
AJAX, SSE, or WebSocket—choose per page based on your needs.
Best-of-Breed Libraries
Wrap the best JavaScript UI libraries instead of reinventing them.
